Our client is looking for an experienced, hands-on Workshop Foreman to take responsibility for the day-to-day technical oversight and coordination of a busy fleet workshop.
This is a practical role suited to a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician who has progressed into a supervisory position but still enjoys being on the workshop floor and getting involved when required.
The successful candidate will lead and support a team of diesel mechanics and auto electricians, ensuring that maintenance, repairs, fault finding and preventative maintenance are completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.
This is not an office-based management role. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, leads by example and is prepared to get their hands dirty when the situation requires it.

- Proven experience working on heavy commercial vehicles/trucks.
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
- Experience managing or coordinating a team of technicians.
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance and workshop planning.
- A valid South African driver’s licence appropriate to the role.
- Computer literacy and the ability to complete workshop reports and maintenance records.
