A leading inbound travel company specialising in luxury African safari experiences is looking for an experienced Senior Travel Consultant to design and manage bespoke luxury itineraries to a range of African countries: Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia, Zambia. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-driven travel professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in inbound luxury safari travel consulting
- Proven experience selling Botswana and Zimbabwe safari destinations
- Reliable transport
- Able to work in-office for a minimum of three days per week
- Strong understanding of the reservations process, including quoting, booking, invoicing and travel documentation
- Experience using Tourplan or a similar reservations system
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and client service skills
- Able to manage multiple bookings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full reservations process from quotation through to final travel documentation
- Create personalised luxury safari itineraries tailored to client requirements
- Process bookings accurately and liaise with suppliers to secure confirmations
- Follow up on provisional bookings and ensure deadlines are met
- Coordinate special guest requests and ensure seamless travel arrangements
- Monitor deposits and payments while assisting with invoice queries where required
- Maintain accurate booking records and documentation
- Provide exceptional client support before and during travel
- Attend supplier training and stay up to date with destination knowledge
- Assist with general operational duties and escalate issues where necessary
