Sales Representative and Product Trainer | Richards Bay

Responsibilities

  • Drive equipment sales and customer engagement
  • Conduct equipment handover and familiarisation training on MEWPs, including Scissor and Boom Lifts
  • Explain machine controls, safe operating procedures, platform capacities and equipment limitations
  • Assess operators’ practical skills, knowledge and understanding prior to certification
  • Deliver training tailored to operators with varying levels of experience
  • Identify site hazards, unsafe practices and potential safety risks
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout training and equipment handovers
  • Explain safe working loads and ensure operators understand equipment limitations
  • Maintain accurate records of training, assessments and certification outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Service Department to ensure equipment is correctly prepared for site-specific requirements
  • Ensure all training and equipment handovers comply with relevant safety standards

What You Need

Candidates must have at least two years of experience in sales and training, with a basic knowledge of MEWP equipment and safety procedures. Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach are essential, along with a proven ability to record, track, and report training activities accurately. Strong coordination skills and the ability to explain complex safety protocols clearly are critical to success in this role.

Nice to Have

Experience working within the construction, engineering, consulting building services, or machinery industries will be advantageous.
