A well-established apparel manufacturer based in Redhill is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marker Maker to join their production team. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient fabric utilisation and supporting the delivery of high-quality garments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to meet production deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualification in Fashion Technology, Garment Construction, or a related field
- Proficiency in marker-making software (e.g. Lectra or similar)
- Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and production processes
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marker-making role within the apparel industry (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop accurate production markers that optimise fabric utilisation while maintaining quality standards
- Interpret patterns and technical specifications to produce precise and production-ready layouts
- Collaborate with pattern makers, designers, and production teams to address layout challenges
- Ensure all markers meet style requirements, size ratios, and fabric specifications
- Use CAD systems and marker-making software to create and refine efficient layouts
- Maintain a well-organised marker library for easy access and future reference
- Track fabric usage and provide input on efficiency improvements
