An established group of high-end restaurants in Cape Town seeks an experienced Executive Chef to oversee a portfolio of venues. This senior role requires a strong leader who can balance creativity with operational excellence, drive innovation, and maintain world-class culinary standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen or valid work permit holder
  • Minimum 10 years’ senior culinary experience in top restaurant groups or luxury hotels
  • Proven team leadership across multiple venues
  • Expertise in menu development, food innovation, and kitchen systems
  • Strong operational and financial management skills
  • Hands-on, creative chef with strategic ability

Duties

  • Lead and oversee all culinary operations across the group
  • Develop and mentor kitchen teams
  • Maintain consistency, standards, and profitability
  • Drive menu innovation and product development
  • Manage suppliers, costs, and operational systems
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
