A leading luxury safari company is seeking a senior, experienced Camp Management Couple to run a remote camp in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. This is a full-time, live-in role suited to a mature, capable couple with complementary hospitality and operational skills, able to lead teams and deliver an exceptional guest experience in a bush setting.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar senior lodge management role
- A 3-year diploma or degree in hospitality or related fields (for at least one partner)
- Strong remote camp management experience and ability to live in the bush
- A complementary skill set between the partners (hospitality & operations)
- Minimum 10 years’ combined experience in safari/lodge management
- Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft 365
- Valid driver’s licences with off-road driving and recovery experience
- First Aid certification and trauma care knowledge
- Familiarity with Botswana’s tourism regulations, wildlife, and conservation landscape
Duties
Hospitality & Guest Services (Partner 1):
- Oversee front of house, housekeeping, kitchen, and reservations
- Manage guest check-ins, hosting, dietary needs, and special requests
- Ensure service quality and cleanliness meet SOP standards
- Handle bookings, guest communications, and daily activity planning
Operations & Field Management (Partner 2):
- Manage guides, rangers, maintenance, and training
- Coordinate safari activities and enforce safety protocols
- Oversee vehicle checks, rifle handling, and logistics
- Lead conservation efforts and community engagement
Joint Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations, team management, and guest experience
- Handle budgeting, cost control, reporting, and inventory systems
- Ensure SOP compliance, emergency preparedness, and regulatory adherence
- Build a motivated, well-trained, and safety-conscious team
