We are looking to employ a Supply Chain and Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate must become from a manufacturing background and be multi-skilled, hands-on, with expert level experience in all facets of Supply Chain including, production, inbound and outbound logistics, management, process optimization and inventory control.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric and tertiary qualification (Supply Chain / Warehouse Management / Industrial Engineering)
- 10 years’ experience as a Supply Chain / Warehouse Manager
- A background in print and packaging would be an advantage
- MS Office proficient (Excel advanced), SYSPRO and Warehouse Management Systems – Essential
- Adherence to quality systems (FSSC 22000, ISO 9001) – Essential
- Experience in managing inbound (freight clearing, forwarding and receipting) and outbound logistics (dispatch and distribution)
- Experience with forecasting and allocations
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Management experience – Essential
- Own car – Essential
Job Functions:
- Full responsibility for inventory control procedures (on site and off site)
- Cycle counting, month end stock counts and recons
- Annual auditing
- Supplier contract negotiations (pricing, annual review, audits and evaluation)
- Procurement
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics
- Manage outsourcing and value add processes
- Implement and work with the warehouse management systems and tools – Warehouse layout, stacking, barcoding and scanning, binning, traceability
- Pro-actively lead the team
- Attend to general human resource related activities
- Budget and financial management
