Supply Chain Analyst – Durban

We are looking for a curious, analytically minded Supply Chain Analyst with excellent collaboration abilities to design and deliver supply chain solutions using world-class optimisation, planning and analytics technologies.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric + BSC Industrial Engineering / Systems Engineering (University level)
• Postgraduate or Master’s degree would be advantageous
• 3-4 years applying analytical methods to Supply Chain and business problems
• Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization software is utilised
• Experience in Supply Chain planning and design
• Understanding of simulation and the difference between optimization and simulation
• Familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management and strategic sourcing
• Costing experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver innovative Supply Chain solutions
• Provide leadership to Junior Supply Chain analysts
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations using data and graphics to communicate insights and risks for Supply Chain decision making
• Data Modelling
• Focus on improving Supply Chain design
• Supply Chain Modelling, Network and Transport analysis
• Data management and analytics
• Manage the creation, maintenance and improvement of key analytical models feeding into supply chain models to drive optimisation
