Business Development Manager (Packaging) – JHB South

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for a successful company in JHB South.

If you are a self-starter who can hit the ground running – this role is for you!

Minimum Requirements

• Matric and a tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 5 years relevant sales experience (preferably in the packaging industry)
• Own car essential

Job Functions:

• Thorough understanding of the manufacturing process for the relevant products, people, technology, constraints and opportunities.
• Build strong cross functional relationships with customers
• Confidence to call on blue chip companies and smaller owned SME’s
• Build and maintain market/competitor knowledge
• Negotiate sales contracts
• Explore opportunities to improve customer’s supply chain
• Find opportunities that introduce new products and services
• Be the link between the customer and the manufacturing units
• Continuous improvement and innovation
