Regional Manager (Long Term Insurance), Cape Town

Our client, a leading player in the insurance sector, is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-performing sales team (Broker Consultants) in the Cape Town region.  The ideal candidate must be ready to lead from the front and grow a region through strategic sales management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Life Insurance industry
  • At least 2 years’ experience leading a successful sales team (Broker Consultants)
  • Insurance qualification (RE1, RE5, CFP, or similar) is advantageous
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Business-savvy, Excel-competent, and target-driven
  • Must be a South African citizen

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with business goals
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Business Developers (Broker Consultants) to exceed targets
  • Manage key accounts and drive adviser retention
  • Monitor performance and lead monthly team reviews
  • Identify and act on new market and sales opportunities
  • Ensure sales targets are met while benchmarking regional productivity
