We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Maintenance Technician to join the team of a successful manufacturer in Durban.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanical/Electrical qualification (N6 and above)
- Millwright Trade Test
- GCC preferable
- 5 plus years heavy industry/factory experience
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Mechanical and electrical repairs to compressors, mills, molding machines, furnaces, overhead cranes and jibs, ovens, conveyors, sand pumping systems, dust extraction systems, forklifts, pattern shop machinery and all other onsite machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all work and repairs are mechanically and electrically sound.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties as per schedule.
- Participation in plant breakdowns and improvement of machinery.
- Maintain and improve engineering performance.
- Ensuring minimum downtime in the event of breakdown.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and equipment to locate cause of breakdown.
- Correct and safe use of hand tools and power equipment.
