Our client is seeking an energetic, highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee their inventory management, stock control, stock forecasting, procurement of raw materials, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and preferably experience in the manufacturing and retail sectors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric and Supply Chain or Business Administration Tertiary Qualification
- 3- 5 years experience as Inventory Manager / Stores Manager / Stock Control Manager and Procurement, preferably in FMCG
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (Unleashed is preferred)
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Advanced Excel
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory levels
- Manage stock control
- Analyze data – historical vs. present and future trends
- Order products and inventory to meet business needs
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surpluses
- Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify potential shortages
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory, such as stock shortages or overages
- Implement strategies to improve inventory life cycle and minimize inventory losses
- Monitor safety in the workplace
- Train, and mentor staff, and develop staff schedules
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and raw materials
- Manage Supplier relationships
