We are looking for an experienced qualified Industrial Designer to join a fast-paced manufacturer in Pinetown, KZN.
Qualifications and Experience
- BA Industrial Design or Industrial Engineer or similar
- Competent at Solid Edge or AutoCAD
- Competent at Auto CAD 3D modelling
- Previous furniture manufacturing experience is advantageous
Key Functions:
- Design components to fulfil the finished designs of items in line with the Factory’s capabilities
- Put together the product assembly drawings, diagrammatically showing the production plant how to assemble the different designs
- Cost engineering of the designs to ensure efficient raw material utilization and speed through the production plant
