We are looking for a Food Safety Supervisor/Manager to join a SME food manufacturer based in Pietermaritzburg. Experience in fresh food environments is essential. Attention to detail and strong administration skills are key to drive and ensure excellence.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Food Technology or similar
- HACCP Certification
- FSSC 2200 Certification
- Food Safety, Health and Safety and Quality experience
Key Functions:
Food Safety
- Retaining GFSI Intermediate certification by ensuring it complies with all relevant company policies, industry standards and government legislation relating to food safety
- Management of product quality and in-house laboratory
- Drive continuous improvement in these areas through monitoring and auditing of compliance to the agreed standards
Health and Safety
- Ensure workplace safety
- Compliance with regulations
- Minimise the risk of accidents and injuries
Quality
- Oversee the organisations quality
- Ensure products meet established standards and policies
- Continuous improvement
- Training and development
