Growing and extremely busy manufacturing company is looking for a Dispatch Manager. Based in Durban North.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric + Tertiary qualification in logistics
- 5 years FMCG dispatch / receiving experience
- 2 years management experience
- 2 years’ experience in the meat production/outgoing environment
- Working knowledge of FIFO System
- Must have worked on a holding freezer floor
- Advanced IT skills and ERP systems knowledge
- Experience with stock and cycle counts
- Excellent communication skills
- Own vehicle essential
- Available to work long hours and on weekends
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning transportation routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective deliveries
- Overseeing fleet maintenance and checks
- Effective reporting to senior management
- Ensure all new drivers are assessed
- Ensure date and batch codes are correct
- Manage and control workflow of employees in the holding freezers
- Managing stock rotation, stock take and stock transfer
- Training of staff on the holding freezer floor
- Managing workflows
- Managing staff productivity
