The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of maintenance within specified remote safari camps in Botswana.
This includes ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, camp and BOH structures, water systems, and generators, as well as managing maintenance projects and forming relationships with suppliers and industry players.
The role requires a proactive individual who can work under pressure and adapt to the unique challenges of a safari camp environment. This position will be on camp leave cycles with some flexibility to account for intercamp movement.
Minimum Requirements
- A diploma/degree in electrical & mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Valid Drivers’ Licence
- Must reside in Botswana
- A minimum of five years’ experience working on maintenance in the camp, lodge, hotel or related industry
- Must have general experience in plumbing, sewage treatment systems, water treatment systems, building and general maintenance
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in remote and challenging environments, demonstrating self-reliance and adaptability
