Our client, an international Shipping and Logistics company, is looking for a results driven Branch Manager with exceptional commercial and people management experience to lead their Western Cape operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field
- 10 – 15 years management experience
- Commercial and Operational Knowledge and skills of the Ships Agency Industry
- Extensive knowledge of Reefer Industry and associated complexities
- Proven leadership and team management in a high-paced environment
- Proactive problem solving and the ability to align business strategies with customer needs, fostering trust and loyalty among Reefer Customers
- Strong understanding of customer success metrics, sales, operations and freight focus
- Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting and cost control
- Computer/systems literate
- Energetic, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial
- Own car – essential
- Must be a South African Citizen
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in achieving business objectives, manage key customer relationships, drive profitability while ensuring operational efficiency and exemplary customer service.
- Optimise revenue generation and cost efficiency across all operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key importers, exporters and other stakeholders
- Support and manage sales staff to ensure seamless customer engagement
- Develop strong relationships with Reefer Customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their specific needs, including temperature sensitive logistics requirements and time critical deliveries
- Manage and monitor export- booking performance
- Provide support for vessel operations
- Refrigerated Cargo responsibilities
- Service Excellence, act as the primary point of contact for Reefer Customers, timely resolution of and service issues, including equipment availability, transit schedules and claims management
- Ensure clients are offered innovative shipping solutions and updates on industry regulations affecting refrigerated goods
