We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who is keen to grow into the Maintenance Manager role at a leading manufacturer in South Durban.
In this role you will develop skills in managing maintenance operations, get exposure to various maintenance processes and learn to manage preventative maintenance programs. You must be required to supervise maintenance teams and ensure equipment reliability. This opportunity offers mentorship and growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 3+ years’ experience in a maintenance role is preferred
- Knowledge of machinery, electrical systems, and building maintenance
- Strong interest in developing leadership and managerial skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within a managerial role
Key Functions:
- Coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities for machinery, buildings, and infrastructure
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
- Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily tasks and repairs
- Monitor and report on equipment performance and maintenance activities
- Help manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and equipment sourcing
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to during maintenance activities
- Participate in training and development programs to build managerial skills
